If you have a big freezer space you can make a whole month's worth of meals with just a day or two of prep in the kitchen. It's called Once A Month Cooking and it's a popular way to save time and serve healthy meals to your family.

To do this type of cooking, you'll need to organize a list of the of meals and dishes you want to prepare so that you can figure out your grocery list. By choosing several meals with similar ingredients, you may see big savings at the grocery store by purchasing items in bulk. You'll also need to have the right types of storage containers so your food stays fresh in the freezer for the whole month.

Once A Month Cooking Ideas

Depending on where you live, you may be able to find a meal-preparation store in your area. It's a similar concept to Once A Month Cooking, but the store has all the ingredients on hand for you to make a week's worth of meals (and someone else does the shopping and cleaning).
